Bring the power of science to the heart of education. Be a Scientist-Educator®.

The science of learning is ever-evolving, offering profound insights into how children learn and paving the way for more effective teaching methods. However, translating these theories into practical applications can be challenging without guidance. That’s why embracing a scientist-educator framework is crucial for educators. It provides the strategies and techniques necessary to foster skill mastery and enhance instructional effectiveness and efficiency with young learners.

Fit Learning’s Scientist-Educator Training™, can be tailored for agencies, schools or individuals. This training equips professionals with the tools to integrate scientific principles and teaching technologies into their daily practice. By enrolling in Fit Learning’s Scientist-Educator Training™, educators can bridge the gap between theory and practice, leveraging the latest scientific insights to enhance their teaching and empower their students’ learning journey

Our Program Begins With An

Assessment

The Scientist-Educator process begins with an assessment of current practices, strengths, areas for improvement, and goals. Through a series of interviews and observations, the Fit Learning team will learn about the current state of your practice. That information will be used to tailor and customize the workshop experience to ensure high value outcomes are achieved.

Workshops

Didactic Training

Through didactic workshops, participants will explore several major methodological frameworks: Precision Teaching (PT), Direct Instruction (DI), and Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM). These evidence-based methodologies, rooted in behavior science, have demonstrated exceptional effectiveness in accelerating learning gains. The training also covers Relational Frame Theory (RFT) to inform instructional design and Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) to empower learners and enhance coachability

Workshops

Participants in this phase will have an opportunity to build skills needed to successfully implement features of the Scientist Educator Model. Both classroom learning and in-situational learning opportunities are commonly included to maximize the utility and generalization of the Scientist Educator repertoire.

During these sessions, participants will develop their abilities to:

Adopt a scientific approach to teaching and learning with time-series design logic.
Break down complex skills and language-based behaviors into measurable and teachable components.
Determine performance levels required for functional mastery.
Engage in global progress monitoring.
Quickly establish learner understanding of new concepts.
Align daily actions with the collective values of their school or organization.
Incorporate acceptance, commitment, and values-guided activities with students.
